Annual Meeting

Quorum
  • Held annually in the 4th quarter of the League’s fiscal year.
  • Quorum is 10% of League members in good standing.
Duties

The Annual Meeting must include:

  • Treasurer Report
  • Budget Committee Report and a vote to adopt the proposed budget
    • Proposed budget must be sent one month in advance of the Annual Meeting, in writing, to League membership.
  • Nominating Committee Report
    • Proposed slate must be sent one month in advance of the Annual Meeting, in writing, to League membership.
    • Membership vote to elect Officers and Directors as proposed in the report.
  • Adopt Bylaws Changes (if any)
    • Proposed bylaws changes must be submitted one month in advance of the Annual Meeting, in writing, to League membership.
    • Two-thirds of voting members present at the Annual Meeting must approve changes.
  • Adopt a Program
    • The Board must send out a proposed program one month in advance of the Annual Meeting, in writing, to League membership.
    • The League must adopt a local program for the ensuing year (Article IX of the bylaws).
    • A majority vote at the Annual Meeting is required to adopt the LWV-WA program.
