Free Film Screening: We’re All Plastic People Now

Celebrate Plastic Free July with a free screening of We’re All Plastic People Now, an Emmy-winning documentary introduced by Ted Danson and featured at the 2024 Santa Fe Film Festival.

This free community program addresses plastic pollution, water quality, and public health—subjects related to the League’s broader interest in environmental protection.

Clean Virginia Waterways, Oceana, and the York River Group Sierra Club invite the community to learn more about plastic pollution and its effects. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with local experts and an audience question-and-answer session.

Event Schedule

5:30 p.m. — Exhibits open
Arrive early to visit displays from Clean Virginia Waterways, the York River Group Sierra Club, Protect VA, and Lynnhaven River Now, and to see several pieces of marine-debris art.

6:00–7:00 p.m. — Film screening
7:00–7:30 p.m. — Panel discussion and audience Q&A
