Feel Connection
We want our volunteers to feel deeply connected to the mission of the League and build enduring friendships with League members.
From registering new voters, hosting forums and debates, engaging in public policy discussion and study, and running the League organization, we serve our community, improve our democracy, and develop lasting bonds and friendships.
Do You Have Time
Do you feel pressed for time, too much on your plate? Don’t worry – we have a guilt-free policy for members and volunteers. Join us and participate as much or as little as you like. Members at times are inactive for years, and then, as life evolves, reengage!
Bring Another Perspective
Perhaps you have been a League member in a different part of Virginia or another state. Or, you have been active in other kinds of service groups. You are interested in other methods and approaches to community service.
Share your ideas with us and nurture a relevant, evolving, and vital organization.
Teams or Independent Efforts
We accommodate both. When the League studies issues or writes letters to the press, independent initiative and reflection is strongly needed. On the other hand, you may join fellow volunteers in voter registration teams, developing membership, event planning, and more!
