Voter Services in Action
Nonpartisan, practical help for voters • In the community and on campus
Provided by the League of Women Voters of Williamsburg Area.

Our Voter Services Team meets voters where they are—at community events, campuses, and partner locations—to provide nonpartisan, hands-on help with voting in Virginia and beyond.

At our voter services tables, we can help you:
  • Register to vote or update your registration (including name and address changes)
  • Request an absentee ballot and understand what to expect for future elections
  • Use Virginia’s online voter portal to check and correct your voter record
  • Find your polling place, early-voting location, and key election deadlines
  • Review sample ballots when available, including constitutional amendments or referenda

We also help out-of-state college students locate their home-state election website and request a mail ballot. When possible, we share trusted resources to spot misinformation and find reliable election information. Many of our handouts are available in English and Spanish.

Most of all, we answer questions—lots of them—so voters can feel confident that their information is accurate and their plan to vote is solid.
